Year 12 DOfE volunteering Opportunities around school

Duke of Edinburgh Gold Volunteering Opportunities
Are you taking part in the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and struggling to find a volunteering opportunity?
Well…we asked staff where you could help around your school community and this is what they said:

Art – Ms Cox.
we could have help with Year 7 art club on Tuesdays after school...

Geography – Miss Rabbitts
“Send students my way for volunteering in Geography as would need to work out what they could help with in line with their frees so it would be easier to speak to them, also we would love the help!

PE – Miss Hart
“Please find the PE extra-curricular timetable. We are more than happy to have students

Lunch time year 9 Football – Mr Stacey
“We would love some sixth formers to run a lunch time football club for year 9 boys in the sports hall”

Science – Miss Elias
“We love volunteers for Y7 lessons - these are scattered about the timetable and they should come and find myself or ESE to confirm which classes they could go into.



D.T – Mr Olubodun
“Our Product Design and Textiles teachers have lot of jobs that they can help with. Eg preparing materials for lesson Also Food needs help with weighing ingredients and preparing resources for classes

Basketball - Mr Etheridge
“I could do with help on Thursday's for basketball.

Science – Dr Spence
“I'm looking for 6 Year 12 students to help plan and deliver a KS3 after-school Science club from after half-term.  They'll work with me and an Oxford University Physicist to plan and run sessions for 30 students on the topic of "Our School From Space".  We've been given £3000 from the Royal Society to buy Infra-red cameras!

EAL – Sophie Reynes
the possibility of getting support through A level students. And I believe that this is one of your many jobs to do!!!
