I have received the following e-mail about a programme to encourage students from underrepresented social groups to get involved with science. A Cheney student took part last year and had a very interesting time.
I was wondering if you had any year 12 students who might like a 2 week summer placement at Oxford University in the areas of biology, maths, physics or neuroscience?
I run the in2scienceUK scheme which organises summer placements for students and we would like students from Cheney to apply. This year we are organising 25 placements, its free for schools (its funded by the university and the council) and students get a lunch and travel bursary.
