Trip to the Aegean
World Gallery - Wednesday 7 October
Dear
Parents/Carers
On
Wednesday 7 October the Classical Civilisation AS group will be visiting the
Ashmolean Museum to see the collection of Minoan artefacts in the Aegean World
Gallery.
While
there, they will have a talk by Dr Philomen Probert on the extensive Linear B
tablet collection. This is a really exciting opportunity to see some of the
relics we have been exploring over the past two sessions.
We
will set out on foot from school promptly at 1.30pm so students will need to come straight to L14 from Period 5 on Wednesday instead
of Tutor Time. The tour will finish at
3pm, at which point students can make their own way home from town.
The trip is has no
costs as entrance to the Museum is free, and we are travelling by foot.
If you would like
your son / daughter to attend and you give them parental permission to do so,
please fill out the slip below and bring it to the School Shop by Tuesday 6 October.
