It has become apparent recently that visitors and students, who are late, have been occasionally gaining access to the school via Sixth Form Gate. This is quite possibly happening when Sixth Form students are either entering or leaving school.
At about 9.00 am this morning Mrs Warland was in traffic in Gipsy Lane opposite the gate. Two girls, probably Y10/11, read the notice on the window, hesitated and, when a Sixth Form student entered school using the gate, followed him through.
Please could students be reminded to be vigilant and to not let younger students, or visitors, follow them either in or out of the Attendance gate.
In addition, please do not open the gate in the morning. Only staff are allowed to let students onto the school premises.
