Brookes Scholarship

Oxford Brookes University Community Scholarship 2016

As you may be aware, as part of our regional commitment to the local community, Oxford Brookes University offers a Scholarship for students from each state-maintained school in Oxfordshire, as well as students from Abingdon & Witney College, Bridgwater College, Brooklands College, City of Oxford College, Reading College, Banbury and Bicester  Ruskin College, Solihull College, Swindon College and New College, Swindon. 

This year, we have extended our school list to include our Study Higher Schools and Colleges: Bourne End Academy (The Wye Valley School), Burnham Park E-ACT Academy, Chiltern Hills Academy, Cressex Community School, Highcrest Academy, Sir William Ramsay School, St Michael’s Catholic School, The Aylesbury Vale Academy, The Grange School, The Mandeville School Specialist Sports College, Sir Herbert Leon Academy, St Paul's Catholic School, Stantonbury Campus, The Milton Keynes Academy, The Radcliffe School, Easthampstead Park CommunitySchool, The Brakenhale School, Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School, John Madejski Academy, Prospect School, Reading Girls' School, Denefield School, Trinity School, The Bulmershe School, Churchfields Academy, Kingsdown School, Lydiard Park Academy, Nova Hreod, St Joseph's Catholic College, Swindon Academy, The Dorcan Academy.

To qualify for the Scholarship the student must have the ability to meet the University’s offer and demonstrate one or more of the following:
• Being a successful role model for other students
• Overcoming of personal or social difficulties
• Engagement in the community including volunteering


Students must complete an online application form and ask their supporting teacher to send a reference via email to communityscholarship@brookes.ac.uk. The form along with full terms and conditions can be found on the Community Scholarship webpage. Applications must be received by Friday 29 April 2016.
