Message from Ms Fischer, Exams Officer

Exam time is here!

To all students in years 12, 13 who take exams:

We wish you the very best of luck in all your exams – following the advice below will help you succeed

Ø  Check your timetable so you know the time, date, room and seat of every exam.
Seating plans are displayed outside the exams office and the Assembly Hall every morning for you to  double-check

Ø  Arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before your exam is due to start – you can have a last minute de-stress chat with your friends outside the Hall
o    8:45 in the morning and
o   13:15 in the afternoon at the latest

Ø  Leave your phones at home – phones and exam don’t mix. If you have to bring it, make sure it is turned off and stored in your bag.
Phones discovered in an exam room will lead to disqualification from the exam and possibly the entire qualification

Ø  Make sure you have got your badge and lanyard with you – it needs to be on your exam desk for every exam.

Ø   The Assembly Hall and Gym can be very cold, particularly in the mornings. Please make sure you bring enough layers of clothes. You can always take a layer off if you’re too hot, but you may not work well if you are too cold

Ø  Check that you bring the right equipment for each exam – in a clear see-through pencil case or clear plastic bag

Ø  Water bottles must be clear and  see-through with all labels removed – no other bottles are allowed into the exam venues

Ø  Make sure you get a good night’s sleep the night before your exams  and have some healthy food in the morning and at lunchtime – a hungry brain doesn’t like to work
