This is just to remind you that the closing date for applications for
the STEM summer placement scheme is drawing near (23 March 2018).
So far, we have 28 placements confirmed with another 10 pending.
Over half of the placements are with engineering companies who are particularly
keen to encourage girls to become engineers. Here is our complete list of

Companies who have shown
interest but have yet to confirm include Rowse Honey, Ox Uni Engineering, Ox
Uni Geography, Ox Uni Pathology and Nuffield Dept Medicine.
All placements take place
during July and August, except the two BMW ones, which will take place during
the last two weeks of June. Students should fill out the application form found
here: https://scienceoxford.com/schools/secondary-schools/stem-placements/
Rather than high grades, we are
looking for students who are self-motivated, have relevant interests and
hobbies, who can work well with other people and can follow instructions. We’ll
be conducting interviews during April and students will be informed of their
placements by the end of April.
