Takeover Day on Friday 17 November.
Your 6th formers are invited to meet councillors and officers, find out about council services and spend the afternoon taking over from city councillors by debating key issues in the Council Chamber.
The topics for the debate are:
· Social Housing
· The Oxford Living Wage
· City Council Support for Education
· Environment Policy for Oxford
Information about all of these can be found on our website, and staff and officers will be available in the morning of 17 November to talk about these issues and to answer questions before the debate. Takeover Council agendas will be provided in advance.
The day will end with the opportunity to take a tour of the historic Victorian Town Hall.
