I am writing to formally invite up to 10 of your Year 12 pupils, plus staff to this year’s Medic Open afternoon on Tuesday 13th of June. The purpose of this event is to provide an insight into the variety of careers a medical degree can lead to and to give help and advice on the application process, including aptitude tests, personal statements and likely interviews. This year’s event will run from 2pm to around 6:30pm (tbc). It will consist of a number of mini-lectures from medics at different stages of their careers, from different disciplines, followed by a series of interactive workshops. Refreshments will be served in between sessions.
