The Oxford University
Hospitals Foundation Trust are holding an open day for potential nurses on 9th
March 2016. I would like to invite any students interested in nursing to come
along to speak to our sisters and matrons about their future career.
Please see attached our
promotional poster, I would be very grateful if you could circulate these to
your students/share via social media or any other communication channel you
have. This is on Ms. Stratford's door. The timing is ideal - you could go after school on Wednesday afternoon.
During this event there will be opportunities to:
·
Meet and talk with managers and staff within the many different
departments about vacancies and opportunities for development
·
Learn about the educational programme and support offered to all
newly qualified nurses on the Foundation preceptorship programme
·
Learn more about becoming a Nursing Assistant and how you will
be supported in completing the Care Certificate
·
Learn about routes available for Nursing Assistant progression
including routes to becoming an Assistant Practitioner or Registered Nurse
·
Learn about Adult Apprenticeship schemes available for sixth
form and college leavers as a route to gaining skills and working in OUH
·
Find out about the additional benefits you can receive as an
employee of OUH
· Gain
support in starting applications to vacancies being advertised for the areas
attending on the day via our “Job Pod”
