Dear Year Twelve and Thirteen Students
Student Finance England Extended Assembly 2.30-3.15 Tuesday 18 October
Student Finance England will be explaining how student finance works at
a special extended assembly at this time. Because it was not possible to
timetable it at any other time, it will run for twenty-five minutes beyond the
end of the school day. We think it is very important for all Sixth
Formers, even Year Thirteens who have not yet decided whether to apply to
university, to understand how student finance works. It will help students to
make clear decisions about the costs and benefits of university.
If you have a very clear commitment (eg a medical appointment, need to
pick up a younger sibling from primary school) before 3.30 on Tuesday 18
October, please e-mail Mr Gimson before this Friday, and I will arrange
for you to be sat near to the door so that you can leave quietly before
3.15. Out of consideration to our visiting speaker and each other, we
will be expecting all other sixth formers to attend to the end of the assembly
which will finish by 3.15 at the very latest. Please be punctual so that
we can start on time. Tutors will take a register in the assembly.
Mr Gimson
