On Wednesday 24th February, 2 - 3pm, Professor Ursula Coope from the Faculty of Philosophy at Oxford is coming to deliver a talk on the Presocratic philosophers. These 6th and 5th Century BC thinkers have often been called the first scientists and philosophers of the Western tradition, and they made a number of advances in scientific and mathematical knowledge as well as philosophical thought.
The talk will be of special interest to students of Classics, History, Philosophy, Maths and Sciences.
All are welcome but please let me or Mr Gimson know if you'd like to attend, or email me on lorna@irisproject.org.uk
The talk will be in L14.
Many thanks
