If you are interested in attending an American university, we have been offered a visit by some American students from Stanford University, who will be able to tell you about admissions, American student life.
There is also the possibility of a visit by a professor of politics who would talk about American politics in this election year.
Finally, I have had the following e-mail about a Sutton Trust opportunity - which a student took up last summer and very greatly enjoyed:
I am emailing with an opportunity from the Sutton Trust,
which introduces students from low income families to the idea of university.
They are running a week-long, free of charge summer school at a university in
the United States for Year 12 students from the UK. Applications close on 20th
January, and all the information can be found on their website.
If you are interested in the US, or in studying there, or in any of these opportunities please let me know.
