In recent years, Cheney entrants have won and also come runners-up in this annual competition to create a short video on any aspect of the Ancient World! It's a lot of fun to take part - here's the blurb:
This is your chance to be involved in bringing the Ancient World to
life through film. We want you to produce creative and interesting films
exploring a classical object or topic. This year we are offering prizes
for videos in two categories: one of 30-45 seconds and one of up to 4
minutes in length.
This competition invites you to take part in
this mission of communicating the Ancient World through film. We are
looking for creative and interesting films which explore a classical
object or topic in short films of either 30-45 seconds or up to 4
minutes.
There will be a prize fund of £500 for the best entries and the
winning videos in each category will be put on our unique website – The
Greeks, The Romans & Us – which features a range of videos of Cambridge’s well-known and up-and-coming Classicists.
