Student voice recordings for the Rumble Museum

As many of you will have seen, we have been filling the display cabinets in the Library stage area with a broad variety of artefacts, ranging from lithic weapons dating to 8000 - 4000 BC to very modern items such as an iPod! The artefacts are in cabinets representing different themes, and you can find webpages detailing each of these artefacts on the Rumble Museum website at www.rumblemuseum.org.uk
We are now creating information boards and labels for each item. Some of these boards are very large and detailed, picking out particularly interesting items. Others will be small and will simply contain a few lines with a QR code which will take people straight to the website page for the artefact.
We are looking for interested students to record their voices reading out the pages on the objects, so that people can have an audio guide to the items. If you would like to have your voice recorded reading out a few lines about a particular artefact, please speak to myself or Mr Gimson.
Your voice recording will then be a permanent feature of the collections guide on the website for the whole community. You can choose to talk about an object from a particular era or area of history which interests you - if you take a look at the objects so far, you will see the collection is very broad, and always growing!
Thank you very much.
